Part 2

..::Derek's Truth::..

While Stiles and Rina had the time of their lives, Scott constantly grew frustrated with everything. On the good side. he hadn't dealt with Derek in the past week, and Alpha hadn't called him out against his will. To top that off, he had gotten closer to Allison as well. But Stiles had been his best friend for years. Now he was losing to him to a girl who had hardly ever been to that town.

After school, he kissed Allison good-bye and decided to go to Derek's for advice. He figured he would never do that, but it came to the point that he needed to. He laid his bike against a tree and walked up the drive-way, relieved to see the black Camaro parked next to the burnt house. "Derek! I need your help...!" He called out, not daring to go inside.  "What do you want Scott." He walked out from the side of the house, his hands shoved in his pockets. "I need your advice." "My  advice?" Scott nodded slowly.  He jumped down from the steps. "Why do you want my advice? Only a week ago you wanted me to stay away." "Because Stiles won't even talk to me..."  "Well maybe that teaches you a lesson. Don't try to kill your friends." "I couldn't control myself Derek!" "Well maybe it's time you learned!" Derek yelled back at him, stating his over Scott. "Can you not control your anger yet, Derek?" Another voice sounded. Feminine sounding.

"So Stiles. Where are we going?" Rina asked as she glanced out the passenger window as Stiles drove down the forest trails. "A  special place I found not some time ago, why?" "Just wondering..." She smiled softly, her teeth reflecting off of the sun light. Stiles couldn't help but smile back. He pulled out next to a pile of rocks, and placed the jeep in park. He jerked the key back and out of the ignition and smiled softly. "I'll take it we're here." Rina smiled and hopped out. Stiles shut his door and walked around to her side offering his hand. She blushed slightly and  took the offer, sort of skipping beside him as he climbed up the pile of rocks and sat down on a flat surface, over looking the mountains and hills. Rina's eyes lit up as her gaze fell upon the sight. "Wow...." She trailed off as she looked at every  detail. Stiles chuckled.  Other than a few comments, there was nothing but silence between them. "So, I've been meaning to ask you lately...." Rina looked over at him as he broke the silence. "Yes?" She looked at him as he trailed off. "Do you... Want to go out sometime...? I mean with me...?"  She smiled softly.  "Yeah. That sounds pretty nice." His face gleamed with joy. Life seemed perfect at the moment for him.

Meanwhile, Scott clambered into Stile's bedroom through the window. If he couldn't catch him at school or public, he'd catch him in his own territory.  He planned his timing perfectly. Just as he settled on Stile's bed,  he walked in. "Scott what are you doing here...?!" He snapped. "Stiles will you just listen to me this once?!" Stiles crossed his arms after he laid his keys on his desk. "What Scott? Are you here to whine about Derek? Allison's dad finally getting to you?" "No! Stiles I'm sorry! I can't control myself when I shift! But Derek's agreed to teach me how to control myself! If you'll take me to him, he can tell you himself!" Scott pleaded. Stiles  pondered for a moment, staring at Scott, hardly blinking. "Okay fine. But if you attack me one more time, I will NOT forgive you again." Scott smiled and they hugged. Stiles grabbed up his keys and bounded outside to his jeep. Scott following, jumping into the passenger's seat. Stiles started the jeep's engine and started off towards Derek's. They shared their stories of both Rina and Allison as they went.

Stiles put the jeep in park on Derek's driveway, turning the key back, but leaving it in the ignition. He hesitantly got out of the car, still being scared of Derek despite the countless times he'd been around him. Scott walked around to him smiling slightly. "Come on." Stiles followed behind him as he made his way to the porch. "Derek!" He called out again. "You're back already?"Derek slid down shingles of the roof, catching himself on the pillar and slinging his body to a stand in front of Scott. Stiles jumped slightly at the insane stunt. "I have one more favor..." Scott murmured. "What." Derek demanded, obviously annoyed by their childish antics. "I want you to tell Stiles that you agreed to teach me how to control the shift..." He looked aside, slightly ashamed. Derek looked at Stiles and nodded. Stiles looked at Scott. "Alright..." "Now would you two get out of here. It's bad enough I've dealt with you once today." "Is that all the thanks you show us? We saved your life by finding some stupid magic bullet, I'm helping you with finding the Alpha. Can't we be treated a bit nicer?" Scott looked at him as he turned to leave. "I just did you two favors, did I not?" Derek snapped. "So unless you don't want to be taught about the shift and all the other valuable information you'll need, I suggest you shut your mouth and stay off my nerves." "Derek." the feminine voice sounded again. Derek let his shoulders back and sighed and rolled his eyes. Scott couldn't help but smile on the inside. He never expected Derek to be bossed around by someone, especially a girl. A thin, toned, girl with short straight brown walked out from the side of the house. She resembled Derek quite  a lot. "I thought Derek lost his family in that fire...." Stiles muttered joining Scott on the porch. Derek looked at him glumly. "I did you idiot." "But, she looks like a sister of yours or something-" Derek began to snap at him until himself was cut off by the girl. "No we're not kin." She explained quite gently. Derek let out a long sigh out of his nose and looked aside. "Then...Who are you...?" Scott asked, thinking the same as Stiles. "Piper." She smiled, her canines sharpened to a point. "Piper...?" They both trailed off, desiring a last name. "Just ignore the last name. If you want a last name, Hale." Stiles soon lit up in his comical attitude. "You-you mean Derek Hale has a girlfriend...?" He tried not to laugh. "Derek. THE Derek Hale has a girlfriend?!" He snickered. Scott grinned, joining the fun. Derek's fingers curled up into a tight fist, cracking. He turned his gaze to Piper. "When can I kill them?" He muttered coldly. "Not now." She smiled softly. He sighed and turned to leave. "No." She grabbed his collar and dragged him back to her side. He sighed in embarrassment. Sure, he'd been dragged around by her plenty of times, but when she did, Scott and Stiles weren't around. Stiles looked at her amazed. He wondered how powerful she was if she could drag Derek Hale around like that and have him put up with it. "Um...Pushed around much, Derek?" "Shut up, you ignorant little-" "Derek." Piper stated sharply. He stood back. Stiles laughed slightly. "I think our lives just got a little better." He whispered to Scott. Piper grabbed his collar and pull him to her. "I'm not going to stop him every time so I'd watch it." "Okay okay okay okay okay okay...!" Stiles stuttered. She let him go afterward. "So my guess is that you're a werewolf too?" Scott looked her over. She looked at him and nodded. "How?" "I was born a werewolf. Like Derek." "Oh..." He trailed off. "Well there's nothing more to say. You two, go home." She commanded. Scott and Stiles did as told, returning to his jeep and driving off. Once the sound of the car had disappeared, Derek turned his attention to Piper. "Why do you have to do that in front of them?"  He demanded, quite coldly. "Why do you have to use such anger?" She retorted, the same tone. "Because they are ignorant! They have no idea what they are dealing with!""And you do?! You're the one chasing around Alpha when you can get yourself killed! You got shot when I wasn't around here! And you were prepared to die! Are you ready to die?!" "I'm not planning to die! And neither am I ready! But if I want to live, and if I want to keep all of us alive, including you, I have to keep going after Alpha!!" He snapped. She studied his eyes, with no particular reason. There was silence between them. "Derek. They're kids. Sure, only a few years younger than us, but they weren't born werewolves like we were. They didn't have people to train them like we were. Stiles isn't a werewolf, no, but Scott is. Being best friends they understand each other as much as I do you. Now since I understand you, you should understand me." Silence arose again. Derek stared back at her for a few moments, then looked aside. She sighed and gently stroked his cheek with her hand. "Derek...We've both been through a lot... They're still kids... Once they get a little used to us, and understand a tad more, they'll stop being so annoying to you..." He returned his gaze back to her. She smiled slightly, soon fading. He sighed. "I'm sorry..." She smirked. "Right..." She trailed off as she tapped her lips against his. She smiled softly again and walked into the house, Derek staying on the porch. He looked out at the woods, staring at nothing. Though he was thinking about more than he could.

"You know, I still can't believe that Derek hale has a girlfriend." Stiles stated as they made their way back home. "Yeah. I can't believe how she could push him around like that, and not be killed." "Yeah." They continued sharing their thoughts about Piper and Derek until a pair of red eyes appeared in the road. Stiles and Scott both let out a surprised yell as Stiles stomped on the brake.
